Enrichment for All Students
From Foundational Methods to Practical Strategies with Renzulli Learning
The Schoolwide Enrichment Model by Joseph Renzulli and Sally Reis (SEM, Renzulli, 1977; Renzulli & Reis, 1985, 1997, 2014) was created to develop the strengths and talents of all students.
The SEM focuses on enrichment for all students through high levels of engagement and the use of enjoyable and challenging learning experiences that are constructed around students’ interests, learning styles, and preferred modes of expression.
The SEM has been implemented in over 4,000 schools across the country and programs using this approach have been widely implemented internationally in Europe, Asia, South and Central America.
Implementing SEM does come with some obstacles for schools and teachers. Joe and Sally partnered with the University of Connecticut to develop a technology platform that would enable teachers to more easily bring personalized learning and differentiation to their students' hands, and thus Renzulli Learning was born!
Renzulli Learning supports teachers as they implement facets of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model. This course covers the foundational methods of Renzulli & Reis methodologies, as well as practical aspects of using Renzulli Learning in your classroom.
Users who complete the entire course successfully will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Connecticut worth 9 professional development contact hours.*
The course is designed in a sequence from foundational methods through practical strategies and skills in the software, however you are able to jump around and watch the lectures you would like in any order, with or without completing the course in its entirety for the certificate.

*Participants are eligible to receive a Certificate documenting Contact Hours issued by the University of Connecticut. It is the participant’s responsibility to determine if their home state/agency/professional association recognizes Contact Hours. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are not offered by the University of Connecticut. The University of Connecticut is not responsible for the design, development or delivery of this program.

Sally M. Reis, Ph.D. and Joseph S. Renzulli, Ed.D. have been working together for over four decades to bring the Schoolwide Enrichment Model to enrichment and gifted programs, schools and classrooms around the world. Their combined years of teaching, international presentions, and published work is voluminous and resulted in over 50 million dollars of research funding. They have published hundreds of articles, chapters, and books resulting in research-based foundational methods. These have resulted in the development of Renzulli Learning, an online platform to support teachers with their efforts for differentiation, enrichment, and personalized learning in the classroom. -

Joining the Renzulli Team has enabled Jeanne to fully realize her own passion for collaborating with teachers to bring personalized learning and creativity development to classrooms around the globe.
